Chief Executive Officer
Ronan first joined the company in 2005 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2016. Ronan has held a number of technical and commercial roles across a diverse portfolio of asset acquisitions, sales, management and redelivery projects. During this time, he has held the title of Chief Commercial Officer for 2 years and Head of Asset Management since 2012. To date, the Commercial team has been responsible for the technical management of over US$6 billion of assets across a full range of aircraft types and involved in over US$10 billion in commercial aircraft transactions. The team today supports a strong client list of airlines, lessors and investors across a wide breadth of strategic and business projects. Ronan has been responsible for the strategic development of the Commercial side of the business and has broadened the business lines to include areas of Risk, Maintenance Cost Analysis, Maintenance Event Forecasting and Strategic Investment Analysis.
Prior to joining Santos Dumont, Ronan worked in a number of commercial roles outside aviation that included engineering and insurance industries. Ronan holds an MSc Bioengineering, Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Degree and a Mathematics Degree from Trinity College Dublin.
